Telstra Desktop Messaging closes 9 November. Here's where the inbox goes.

Desktop Messaging did two-way SMS and MMS from a browser. So does BE Messaging — on a real Australian 04 number, with a price in the reply rather than a demo booking.

Telstra Desktop Messaging is being withdrawn. Small business access ended on 10 November 2025, Enterprise accounts have been frozen since 6 August 2026, and the service is removed from the market on 9 November 2026. If your team sends and receives SMS and MMS from a company inbox in a browser, that inbox needs a new home before then. BE Messaging is built to be that home.

The dates Telstra published

  1. 10 November 2025: Telstra Desktop Messaging withdrawn for small and medium business customers.
  2. 6 August 2026: Enterprise customers can no longer add services or make changes to existing ones.
  3. 9 November 2026: Telstra Desktop Messaging withdrawn from the market entirely. Every remaining inbox stops.

Is Telstra Desktop Messaging being discontinued?
