A virtual mobile number for your business. With a team inbox behind it.

A dedicated Australian 04 number customers can text — and every message lands where your whole team can see it, answer it and keep the history. Calls to it go to a number you nominate. Month-to-month, no enterprise contract.

What is a virtual mobile number? It's an Australian 04 mobile number that belongs to your business rather than to one person's phone. Customers text it like any other mobile, and calls to it are forwarded to a number you nominate. The difference is where the messages go: into a shared inbox in your browser, where anyone on the team can pick up the conversation, reply, and see everything that was said before. BE Messaging provides the number, the inbox, and the tools around them.

What comes with the number

The number is the address. The inbox and the tools are the product.

A dedicated 04 number

Your own Australian mobile number, used only by your business. It stays with the company as staff come and go, and it's the number customers save in their phone.

Two-way SMS

Send from the browser, receive replies in the same thread. Customers reply the way they always do — no app to install, no link to tap.

MMS in both directions

Send a photo, receive a photo. A customer can attach a picture in their normal messaging app and it arrives in your inbox, in the conversation it belongs to.

One inbox the team shares

Every conversation on the number is visible to everyone who needs it. Assign it, answer it, hand it over — with the full history beside it.

Templates and campaigns

Save the messages you send every day. Send a campaign to a list with each person's name filled in, scheduled for the time you choose.

An API when you need one

Send and receive on the same number from your own systems. REST, documented, with keys you control.

Who uses a business mobile number this way

Anyone whose customers already text — and whose team needs to see the reply. and whose team needs to see the reply.

Trades and field service

Customers send a photo of the job before anyone drives out. Quotes, confirmations and running-late messages go from whoever is at the desk.

Clinics and practices

Appointment reminders and confirmations from one number the practice owns, with replies landing at reception rather than on a practitioner's phone.

Retail and e-commerce

Order updates, click-and-collect notices, and a number customers can reply to when something's wrong — answered by whoever is on shift.

Support and account teams

A shared line for customer questions, so the conversation stays with the business and the next person can pick it up where it was left.

One number. The whole team.

A mobile plan gives one person one phone. This gives your business one number and everyone the same view of it.

The number is easy. What you're really buying is that nobody on your team has to hand over their phone, and no customer conversation walks out the door with a resignation.

Questions people ask about virtual mobile numbers

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, ask it in the form below.

What is a virtual mobile number?
An Australian 04 mobile number that belongs to your business instead of to one person's phone. Customers text it like any mobile, calls forward to a number you nominate, and the messages arrive in a shared inbox in your browser, where your team works them together.
Is it a real Australian mobile number?
Yes. It's a standard Australian 04 number. Anyone on any Australian network can text it or send it a picture with nothing special on their end, and calls to it are forwarded to the number you nominate.
Can customers send us photos?
Yes. MMS works in both directions. A customer attaches a photo in their normal messaging app, sends it to your number, and it appears in the conversation in your inbox.
Do I need to register a sender ID with ACMA?
No. ACMA's Sender ID Register applies to alphanumeric sender names like BE-ALERTS. A numeric mobile number is out of scope, so there's nothing to register. The Spam Act still applies to what you send — consent, identification and honouring opt-outs — and the platform is built to help with those.
Can I keep a number I already have?
New numbers are provisioned for you as part of setup. If you have a number you'd like to bring across, tell us the number in the form and we'll say plainly what's possible.
How is this different from giving staff a work phone?
A work phone is one person, one device, and the conversation history lives on that device. A business number with a shared inbox is visible to everyone who needs it, keeps the history with the company, and doesn't leave when someone does.
Is this for businesses outside Australia wanting an Australian number?
It's built for businesses operating in Australia, with Australian customers. If you're overseas and want a local presence number, there are services designed for that; this one is about giving an Australian team one inbox.
What does it cost?
Tell us how many numbers you need and roughly how many messages a month, and the reply is a price — not a demo booking. There's no enterprise contract and no annual commitment.
